2010 Suzuki Kizashi Full Test Review

We spent one week driving manual 6-speed AWD GTS Kizashi home and abroad, and took effect. We have small cars, Suzuki cars and SUVs in a lively spirit, and especially sports SX4s AWD, and good in many respects, but we had no idea what their first foray into the medium sedan expected.

Aggressive style and nicely proportioned, it looked semi-D-luxury sedan segment. In the global car business, the C-segment compact cars, and size-up D-Class is what we, as a medium-incredibly competitive field of both families and sports sedans know. A strong, the aero-slick design theme described as a "dynamic athlete in motion" This concept is clear that the next flagship sedan from Suzuki would focus on the emotional side of the scale. Japanese car manufacturer Suzuki has chosen in mid-2007 Frankfurt (Germany) Motor Show, the most interesting new concept car Kizashi reveal the name. She said that her name was the Japanese "Prelude" and "taste" and that the expected anything from the company known more for its motorcycles, ATVs and outboard motors than for small cars and SUVs.

Even more aggressive Concept Kizashi 2, followed in October at the Tokyo Motor Show is the third version debuted in March 2008 New York Auto Show. This, Concept Kizashi 3, was much tamer, and production-realistic. It actually looked a lot like the real thing now is to hit the market and has demonstrated serious Suzuki introduced the item at the most competitive market in the U.S. car class. The fit and materials are generally good, although not a typical Euro-sedan standards and chairs are handsome and beautiful in the supportive leather seats are available. Instrument panel gauges are accurate view: the faux brushed aluminum-trimmed center console mirror lattice rounded V-shape, and the controls are intuitively easy to see, reach and operate. We appreciated the three-spoke steering wheel clad pretty handy with a spoke-mounted audio and other controls.

Only the engine residing under the power-dome cover is now ready for 2.4-liter aluminum four good to 185 HP with standard manual 6-speed transaxle, five or fewer ponies available continuously variable transmission (CVT). Rare in this format and price, the possibility of the latest "intelligent" all-wheel drive Suzuki (i-AWD) can be bad-weather traction and cornering improving employability. Systems with continuously variable front-to-rear torque distribution is a function of several factors, including spinning wheels, steering wheel and gas.

Standard on the sub-$ 20K base Kizashi With the start button, steering wheel audio controls, dual-zone Climate Control and split-folding rear seat with pass-through for long items like skis. Standard safety features include electronic stability program (ESP), ABS with electronic brake force distribution, and leads a series of eight airbags.

Another level is added CVT automatic gearbox, 17-inch tires on alloy wheels, how much 10-adjustable driver's seat? With the seats with three-position memory, cruise control and leather covers the steering wheel, gearshift and handbrake. Sport-oriented GTS features 18-inch wheels and tires too moonroof, fog lamps 425-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system with integrated Bluetooth hands-free phone capabilities and choice of manual or CVT transmission, the second with a paddle shift manual gear selection. Top-of-the-Line SLS features leather seats with a three-stage heated seats, four-way power passenger seat, heated mirrors, rain-sensor, rear parking sensors and automatic on / off lights.

We spent seven days driving manual 6-speed AWD GTS Kizashi home and abroad, and took effect. We have small cars, Suzuki cars and SUVs in a lively spirit, and especially sports SX4s AWD, and good in many respects, but we had no idea what their first foray into the medium sedan expected.

We found that less than plush yet surprisingly comfortable and quiet, well together and the joy of driving. Manual transmission, and certainly shifted suddenly, and 4-cylinder engine worked well at lower speeds, but tend to run out of breath at higher revs. On-road was good, precise steering and brakes are strong and stable as necessary. Anything less and beyond than the typical mid-sized sedans, right? It is not enough lime in the back for a full-size adults.

Later we had the opportunity to group Kizashis (manual and CVT, FWD and AWD) and the main competitors in the various tests and treatment for a handful of rounds at Virginia International Raceway (VIR), near Danville, VA. They played an impressive and (not surprisingly, since the tests were designed Suzuki engineers excited) than the total of selected high-volume competitors on hand. Peak was a few quick rounds into a prototype V-6 powered Kizashi predicts likely future availability.
