PBRC Honda Plant Visit 4/29/2010

As posted by Pres JR

The riders meet at park n fly at around 7:00 a.m.. We start our journey to HPI at approximately 8:30 a.m.. The group had to wait for Ezekiel since he encounterd a flat tire on his way to the meeting place. Before we hit the road Ariel (Nail) leads a prayer. A little briefieng and off we go.

On our way to Sucat Service Road, Ezekiel suggest that we change route so Ezekiel guide us from Sucat-Zapote-Alabang. First stop is Jollibee Pacita Complex to meet with Erick. From Pacita we decided to go to SM Sta. Rosa to refresh ourselves and eat lunch (Mang Inasal) since it is only 10 a.m.. We start the journey again at 12:00 nn.From SM Sta. Rosa the next stop is Carmelray in Batangas to meet Bluexi. At around 1:00 p.m. we met Bluexi and head straight to First Phil. Industrial Park (FPIP). PBRC arrived at FPIP 1:30 p.m. since the appointment is 3:00 p.m. we decided to have a rest in Sto. Tomas Batangas Petron. Sir Ghilbert of HPI text me and confirms that we can enter the Main Gate of FPIP 2:30 p.m.. So at around 2:20 we head straight to FPIP. As we arrived the Main Gate of FPIP there was some misunderstanding with regards the PBRC Plant Visit. After a few minutes and coordination with HPI we are allowed to enter FPIP.

Inside HPI, I handed the PBRC t-shirt and sticker ( thanks VP) to Sir Ghilbert as a token of appreciation to HPI. The group is very welcome and it seems that everything was prepared by our host. First there was a film showing about Honda, then we went down to the production. We saw how HPI assembles motorcycle, and we were amazed. We are not allowed to go to welding and paint section because it is hazardous. After that they prepare a meal (Spaghetti, Tuna Sandwich and Fried Chicken). there is also a parlor game (congrats Team 1) prepare by our host. We were able to go to the In-house Apparel Shop were some members bought some original Honda Apparel at discounted price.

On our way back to Manila around 5:00 p.m.. Bluexi separates with the group in Carmelray. Then Erick in Chowking Pacita, when it started to rain. We stop at Caltex for shelter. When the rain stops the journey continues up to Turbina to buy some pasalubong. From Turbina straight to Alabang (9:00 p.m.). We seperate in two groups. 1 group to C5 and another to Pasay.

3 Bravo's Journey To A Mystical Place ...Masinloc, Zambales

as posted by Sir FredrockS and Sir Bunny at http://hondabravo.ning.com

The ride to Masinloc was actually not the original destination, Bunny, Jay n their uncle was supposed to go to Palauig, still part of the great province of Zambales, Bunny who I met thru PBRC asked me if I wanted to Join the trip, to which I said YES!, but the plan was changed to Pundakit instead, so at this point in time only 3 were sure of going..Bunny, Jay and me, Fred..but due to some nice pictures of Koto Kidz Pool shown to Jay the 2 masterminds decided to change the trip going to Pundakit to Masinloc instead....... Through text messages Bunny was able to let me know that we are scheduled to go to Masinloc on a Sunday morning...6am was the meet up time, meeting place is to be at Bunny's net cafe in San Marcelino Zambales.

Sunday July 26, 2009

6am...meeting place, Bunny served coffee and bread, I had coffee and 2 sticks of Marlboro Gold, after saying goodbye to Bunny’s better half we proceeded with the trip (around 6:30am)
Present was 3 glorious bravos of Zambales and their extremely good looking drivers (heehaw) namely:
1) Bunny - Red Bravo ( new sparkplug, new shocks, new side mirrors)
2) Jay - Black Bravo (all stock)
3) Fred - Black airbrushed Bravo
We drove 50-60 km/hr on our beloved bravos while enjoying the green green grasses and trees along the way, first stop (aka YOSIBREAK!) was at the town of Cabangan, Zambales..Along the way going to Iba, Zambales (capital of Zambales Province) I noticed that my gas was almost empty...alarmed, i asked Jay (Lead Rider) to stop at the nearest gas station.. Which happened to be Flying V, maybe tune up was all I needed...no worries...so on we went ...2nd stop was the town of Iba Zambales..yosibreak (2 sticks per rider), Jay asked for directions from a man who owned a bicycle/motor shop (He was a type 1 Bravo owner..Jay introduced him to the PBRC site (he told Jay he will check the website)...Bunny n Jay had bottled water; I had Gatorade since I had a very bad case of a Hangover From Hell...hehehe! No cops were around so we took a quick leak at the nearest wall we could find...hahaha...

On our valiant steel (and plastic hehe) Bravo horses we proceeded to Masinloc...a very long n winding stretch of asphalt...but the roads were great, in some instances it played on my mind to see how fast my bravo could go but why do that when we are enjoying cruising @ 50-60 km/hr...It went well except when bunny who was a few meters behind me heard funny noises coming from my Bravo...it was the my rear break tight as.. (should I say ass?)...hehe...after loosing it up on we went again..going up a hill same sounds from the rear breaks were back...we passed by a vulcanizing shop but no mechanic was around so the nice dude just helped properly loosen the rear break..Go!

Finally we were at the entry point going to Koto Kidz Pool..But wait...there's more...more checkpoints and 27 kilometers of ROUGH ROAD!!!...the guards were nice...the rough road was rough hahahaha! At 8 kms we had our first yosi break and a very cool view (check pics @ bunny's profile)...and i could hear my bravo cursing at me for giving him hell hehehehe!...our bodies were painful our wrist hurt...but wait!!! There’s more!!!..19kms more of stones, mud and potholes....whaaat?.....did I mentioned BANGIN? yes bangin (hindi bangin chicks or worst each other ha..hehe.. Can’t find the English word for it in my brain right now)...to make the long story short we were able to reach the Majestic Place of Koto...all the body pains went away simply by just looking at the surroundings..The hanging bridge, the cool river n the awesome waterfalls, they have great cottages too ( 900php 3 beds/ 1,500 for a family of ten members).
Ok ok the place was majestic..But we were hungry we could eat a whole cow so we asked for food…reply! no food daw!..We had to go back to town to ask a certain store to cook for us...we could not wait that long, at least I could’nt...but, hey!.. We had 4 sticks of Marlboro gold left..So, we had soft drinks then we saw that there were canned goods in the counter...we bought youngstown cornbeef and a small hunts pork n beans (they should call it beans n beans...as I saw no pork at all hehehe)..Direct from the can we ate like kings...hehehe…..after eating Ligo time!...we went at the side of the resort only to be dumfounded that jay was the only one who can enjoy the water n the diving board..20 feet of water cold as ice...hell NO!..Bunny and I can’t swim!!!..secret ha…….lucky Jay…hmm, is it too late to take swimming lessons?....

The Trip Home….1 pm
Awww shocks, madilim d ulap….Go Pa rin…
……and it rained…we had to stop by a store somewhere along the way hoping the rain would stop...yosiyosi ulit…but it never did so on we went again, carefully n efficiently driving through the slippery rough road..Man, some stones were literally sharp and sticking up the ground ready to slice up our precious tires…luckily...we were lucky...hehe…around 12 kms from the majestic place there were brown water coming (err ,..I mean raging) from the fields...rain,mud,stones and now this..Wahhh, Jay said we should cross…so we crossed...luckily...again...we were lucky hehe…half our Bravo were submerged (tama ba ung term?..parang submarine lumubog eh…hahahaha!)..Hard as it was..we survived that super rough road wet, dirty and aching…but with smiles on our faces…after that experience we were very very very hungry…it was raining hard so we decided to just eat at Iba...after arriving at Iba at around 5pm Jay recommended we eat at ths fine restaurant + BON’S…God, it was freezing cold inside (or basa lang cguro kami..We were literally dripping wet)...so we ordered for coffee first before deciding what to eat.Jay n Bunny excused themselves to go the CR..To remove their very wet socks…my shoes by the way...natangal swelas hahaha….we ordered pinapaitan, sizzling sisig n chopseuy...each order good for two persons…that was how hungry we were..2 orders of rice for each one...i think Jay wanted to order 1 more rice...hehe...after eating...yosi 2sticks each…then we road our iron horses…after a long and wet drive we finally reached San Marcelino at 7 pm I think..I said thank you and Goodbye to Jay and Bunny...I have another 10 mins of rain and asphalt to conquer... I think I conquered it at 5 mins hehe…the trip was fun n worth the drive..I would gladly go on any trip with these two guys…except at that 27 kilometer rough road...my bravo would be so happy not to set foot...err, tires on that road again..Let’s rent a 4x4 pick up next time guys…hehehe

Hope to ride with more PBRC guys and Gal..n Thorid..Hi thorid pashot ka na!!!

for wrong spellings n grammar n proper sentence constructions...forgive me please...tao lang po.....mwuah

some additional inputs....

on the way home... when we stopped at a store.... we asked the store owner if she still has deer meat or wild boar meat, the lady told us there was nothing left... -- we should have bought the meat when we're still going up the mountain.... the guards at the check point told us that we can find lots of store to buy it but we didn't find any.

after eating in Iba... we bought pasalubong for our kumanders.... we bought pastillas and chicharon....

after buying we headed home...

Honda Plant Visit Ride Report

After almost 2 weeks of waiting for the ride event, March 1 finally came and almost 30 riders sign up for the plant visit in Honda Plant in Tanauan, Batangas. The purpose of the ride is for interested Honda owners / riders to have a plant tour in Honda Philipines Plant thus giving us the chance to see how Honda manufacture our bikes.

Even though the ride was organized and coordinated by Arlan, the vice-president for external affairs of Philippine Bravo Riders Club (PBRC), the invitation was extended to owner/rider of none Honda Bravo owners as long as it is Honda. The invitation was welcomed by other Honda owners; Owners of Honda Wave Alpha/100/100R/125 listed and show interest on the plant visit.

There were 2 meeting place designated for the ride, for those coming from the North, Shell – J.Vargas in C5 is their meeting place and for those who are coming from the South, Honda Motorworld in Alabang is the meeting place at the same time it is the link up place for both North and South riders since the group decide to take the Alabang National Road going to Calamba.

Riders from the North was met by co-member, Mike Apo, who spearhead the group to Honda Motorworld Alabang. Their take off time was 6:30AM so that they can link up with the South group at around 7:30AM. Some of those who suppose to join the North group wasn’t able to come due to personal reason and we were thankful enough since they text earlier before the take off time thus avoiding delay in their take off time. North group was able to take off from Shell at around 6:30AM and was able to link up with the South group at around 7:30AM.

The South group meeting time is not as early as those coming from the north, riders coming from the south needs to be in Honda Motorworld at around 7-7:30am. The first to arrive in the meeting place where Arlan, Ram, Rj and Ross. Ram, Rj and Ross still comes from Tondo and was able to come on time. While waiting for the North group to come, other South riders came to the meeting place.

Finally, before 7:30AM, North group arrived in Honda Motorworld. Mike introduce those who joined him from the North to those who are waiting in the South. Since there is still time before the talked take off time, riders got the chance to talk and know the other rider. AlfaR14, dropped by to meet the group but wasn’t able to join the ride for a very important reason.

10 minutes before 8am, Arlan and Mike called the riders for a short briefing on how the group will travel at the same time giving some advice for the first time group riders. Since the National Road is a heavily traffic road, we tend to use the single file formation so as not to create traffic. We consider the road as a public road, thus we should follow traffic regulation. Twenty (20) riders were able to join the group and these was the first time that PBRC has this number of riders in a ride. Considering a large number of rider, we designated Ram and Rj to be the ride marshals and other experienced rider to be place at the back. Norvin was the sweeper of the whole group but we still have another sweeper placed on the 10th and 11th position. Ram, give a short prayer before the start of the ride.

Our itinerary was followed, we allotted 2 hours for the travel time from Alabang to Tanauan, Batangas. The trip went smoothly but from time to time the group was cut because of traffic in some area in the national highway. One major delay was when Ram rear tire wiggled when we are just 1-2kms away from Calamba, thus making the whole group stop while Norvin and other rider assist to fix Ram tire. The stop give some riders to freshen up and stretch. After 10-15 minutes, we gear up and start to travel again going now to Tanauan, Batangas.

Finally, we reached the First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) where Honda Philippines is located. Arlan went straight to the guard to inform them that the group will be going to Honda Philippines. The group was shocked on how one guard reacted, he started shouting on some riders who are taking pictures of the group while they are still parked outside FPIP. The group was shocked because we are polite and organized when we parked our motorcycle on the right portion of the entrance. After the guard called up and confirmed of our plant visit to Honda, we were allowed to go inside FPIP but before that, we were instructed to follow the maximum speed inside the industrial park which is 40kph and to follow the rule of first stop first to go on intersection.

Arriving at Honda Philippines Plant, we were met but Honda guards and pointed where the group will park our motorcycle. After parking our motorcycle in the designated area, we were met by one of the staff of Sir Jules Cruz of Honda Philippines. We were then escorted to HPI lobby where Honda Motorcycles, both stock and modified are displayed. The group was given the opportunity to take pictures of the different motorcycles. First time visitors was amazed with the modified Honda motorcycle cub especially the modified Honda XRM125 enduro and Honda Bravo. We were able to see the new design of Honda Wave100 and was also informed that the new Honda Wave100 is now Euro 2 compliant.

After 10-15 minutes of taking pictures at the lobby with some Honda motorcycle. The group now was lead to a conference room in the Honda admin building where we met Sir Jules Cruz and was shown how Honda came to be. After the short film showing, we were given a simple freebie and was given the chance to ask some questions regarding our motorcycle. A simple but delicious merienda was prepared for the riders, we were given at least 15mins to consume our merienda so that we can catch up with the production.

After consuming our merienda, we were lead immediately to their production plant. 4 guide were assigned to the group. We were divided into 4 groups with either 5 or 6 members each. All riders were excited because this was the first time that every one in the group was in a motorcycle production plant. We were fascinated on how fast Honda produce a single motorcycle. During our visit, Honda plant was producing Honda XRM 125. We walk the whole production line and we can’t help to be amazed on what we saw, since for every step that you take, you will see how your engine is being built, how the different parts where attached and at the end of the production line you will see a brand new motorcycle, which is ready for testing and storage. We also saw how our chassis and gas tank was assembled and painted, how the different fairings of different motorcycle is painted and strip with stickers. When we finished with the plant tour, we immediately proceed to Honda Philippines shop where riders/visitors were given the chance to buy Honda Apparel such as t-shirt, bags and helmets at a discounted price. Almost all riders bought something to bring home as a proof of their plant visit.

After all the members finished their buying spree, we returned to the conference room where we left our bags. After that we go out and have our group picture along with Sir Jules. After the picture taking, we bid goodbye to Sir Jules and his staff and jokingly asked him if we could still return to visit the plant.

Gearing up we bid goodbye to Honda Philippines. The group left FPIP and proceed to the national highway going back to Manila. The group plan to have a short stop on any gas station for refueling and have a snack before we proceed to Manila but as the group travel along the National Road, Arlan was informed by a delivery van that one rider encounter a problem that’s why the group immediately stop and check who encounter a problem. We found out that Mike and Ram w
ere missing , so we stop and count the number or rider, Tali and Vin back track to look for Ram, true enough…Ram encountered a technical problem with his Bravo, his rear hub bearing broke and there is no way for him to travel than to replace it with a new one.

While Vin, Rj, Mike and Tali assist Ram in fixing his Bravo, the rest went to Flying V and stop beside 7-11 to wait for the others. This gives time for the other riders to freshen up and have a little snack at 7-11.

At around 3:30-4pm, Ram Bravo was fixed and before we start to return to Manila, PBRC had a small raffle for those members you are active. The prices were 1 liter of Shell VSX Engine Oil and a Balaclava. Mike won the Engine Oil while Vin won the Balaclava.

The way back to Manila is smooth and less problem.

All in all, the plant visit / tour to Honda was an experience we won’t forget for the rest of our life. All those who participated the ride would like to thank Sir Jules and his staff for making it possible for us to have an idea on how our motorcycle were assembled.

Thank you Honda Philippines until our next visit!

Marilaque Breakfast Ride 1-27-08 (Ride Report)

PBRC-Manila Chapter organize a breakfast ride to Marilaque for those new members who haven't gone to Marilaque yet. This was planned right after their ride to Lemery, Batangas.

Most of the rider who joined the ride came from Manila, Ram, Jay, Ross and RJ. Dexter who is from Pasig also joined the ride.

The ride was planned not only to have breakfast in Marilaque but also to raffle the two LED Taillights that was given by Sir Thunder to the group.

The meeting place is on Shell - J. Vargas at 7am. We were able to take off from shell at around 8:30am because of me being late. Hehehehehe (Sorry guys, minsan lang naman e.)

I spearheaded the group until we pass Sta. Lucia and the way where you can go to Antipolo (sorry guys, forgot the name). After that, Ram became the spearhead of the group. All riders with backride are asked to follow the spearhead followed by the single riders.

The way up to Marilaque is smooth and hassle free and the riders enjoyed ever curved and straight of the road until we are almost 3/4 to Mang Vic's Bulalohan were we are meets with drizzle. Since it's just drizzle, we continue our way until we reach Mang Vic's Bulalohan, there we waited for more or less 30minutes before we were able to have our chair.

After taking our breakfast (which I think should be considered as brunch), Archer get a cut out paper were all present in the ride asked to write their names, this is for the raffle of the LEDS LIGHT. I was given the honor to draw the name of the two winners and guess what, RAM was the first one I've drawn and followed by yours truly....heheheheheh (Talking about being lucky).

After resting and taking some pictures, the group prepares to descend from Mang Vic's and call it a day. This time I spearheaded the group again and from time to time being pass by Rj who goes way ahead of the group so that he can take a video of the group ride. (Pre, next time iba naman papakuha natin para kasama ka). As we are nearing Cogeo, the rain pour down and we have to take shelter and wait for the rain to stop, after 15mins of rest the rain stops and we continue our descend.

The group last stop was when we wait for Ram, Ross and Archer who filled their tanks. We then say goodbye to each other and headed home.

A simple but fun breakfast ride of the Group.

Arayat Pampangga Ride Report by Pres. Jet Lim

The PBRC's ride to the Province of Nueva Ecija last November 3, 2007 marked another exciting episode of the Club. It's the first time for the Club to hit Central Luzon and got acquainted the PBRC North Luzon Area Chapter members, the host for this ride.

The group started the day by double checking the bike for this long journey. Guys from the southern parts of Metro Manila arrived as early as 6:30 am to the predetermined meeting place at Shell Gas Station in Julia Vargas corner C-5, Pasig City. When I arrived at the place at about 6:40am, I had my Bravo filled up with Gasoline and not so long I see Marjiancanya also had his Bravo filled up. Little did I know that Archer22, Mikecute, Henry and Talipandaz were already waiting at the parking area of the gas station and were calling my attention when I was parking in front of Select. When I get to near them, I saw Talipandaz in short pants and shirt. He said he cannot come with us but was just there to bid the Group for a safe journey. How kind of him. That’s how PBRC support one another. Although the southern members who listed to join the ride were already at the place, we still waited until 7am just to make sure we will not be leaving those who made a last minute decision to join.

The schedule of the itinerary indicated that the group will leave at exactly 7:00am and proceed to Monumento area to link-up with the rest of the Group who will be coming from Northern areas of Metro Manila. Using the route of C-5 – Santolan – EDSA – North Avenue, the group arrived at Monumento at around 7:20am where Coolworld and Bradc73 awaited at a nearby 7-11 store. They met us beside the Baliwag Lechon Manok in McArthur hiway where there was enough parking for all of us without obstructing traffic in the area.

As we were waiting for the last man Jay (newest member), Reklamador came to see us, and also bidding the Group for a safe journey as he can’t joined for his pre-scheduled seminar with the Couples for Christ. See, I told you this is how PBRC support each other. He has one other agenda though. He shown the group of the prototype of the bottom pan (“araro”) custom made for the PBRC. Painted in black, the “araro” fitted nicely on his Bravo but he had to cut and shorten the rear portion of the front fender to give way for it. Since it was still a prototype, there are a few improvements to be made on it. Let’s wait for its final product. Bradc73 also showed us two samples of the Logo sticker and voted which should be ordered.

Not for long, Jay arrived. Wow, he was on a different version of the Bravo amongst the other members…well, particularly on the handle bar. His was a totally pulled out handle bar and replaced with a new handle bar post that’s places the handle bar a bit backwards. It’s good if you opt to mount your handle bars lower since it will not be touching the upper portion of the cowl, so you’ll not be chopping your cowl if you opt to utilize a lowered handle bar. No customizing, just replacing with aftermarket parts.

Soon after a few hellos to newly meet members, the group departed for Nueva Ecija at around 7:45am. Traffic along McArthur Hiway from Valenzuela to Bulacan was moderate to heavy. I spearheaded the group, making sure that our pace was enough to meet our schedule and for everyone to be safe. After the hustle and bustle on every tight traffic at downtowns in Valenzuela and Bulacan and a few road repair detours and U-turns due to direction difficulties, we found ourselves reaching Pampanga safely and on schedule.

The road in the Province of Pampanga was fairly open in terms of traffic condition. This time, not much vehicles were plying and not much obstruction on the side of road. It’s time for the group to gain up speed. And in some long stretches on the open hiway, a few guys went hitting top speed. But little did we noticed the sign to San Simon, where we are supposed to make a right turn towards Arayat and meet up with our hosts, CrazyRazky and Alamus. Good thing that they were waiting for us at Caltex Station by the intersection. So when they saw us passed by and onward to the wrong direction, Alamus puts on his helmet and struggled with his red Bravo to catch up with us. Fortunately, repair was underway on a bridge not so far and caught up with us.

The group united at the Caltex station where could finally meet and shake hands with CrazyRazky and Alamus, the hosts. It was about 10:50am and right on schedule. CrazyRazky showed us his modifications made on his Bravo while Alamus showed me his unreturned chainguard of his Bravo because of his over excitement for the occasion.

After a 45-minute break for rest, rehydration and cigarette, CrazyRazky set free several homing pigeons and we made our way towards Cabiao for lunch. We got into the eatery and eat at our hearts content. Food prices were cheap and the menu was superb. I had beer to go with my Sisig. Archer, however, snobbed every one of us when he was the first to be served with his double-viand meal.

People in the area were staring at us and probably saying unto themselves, “look at these guys…so charming and macho on their Bravo motorcycles.” And we really are! Even Anna, the pretty waitress at the restaurant who Mikecute got fond of, kept staring at each of us thinking how she would be asked by anyone among us to be a backride. There was even a guy from the area who approached us and said he is a Bravo owner too. He would like to join the Club as well. We just told him to get in touch with CrazyRazky.

After that scrumptious meal, we proceeded to CrazyRazky’s place to meet his pregnant wife (their first baby). We were served with cold orange juice and hot “ginataan” filled with banana, sweet potato, cassava and sago. Had it beside the wide Cabiao River and under the cool shade of a tall-standing bamboo plant. There we held our meeting, discussing matters pertaining to the Club. Four members, namely Bradc73, CrazyRazky and Jay paid 150 pesos each to cover the 100 pesos registration fee and 50 pesos monthly dues for the month of November. Alamus paid 200 pesos to cover the monthly dues up to December. Archer, Coolworld, Jian, Mikecute, Henry and me paid 50 pesos each for the November monthly dues. So we raised a total of 950 pesos. We also discussed that CrazyRazky be the Liaison Officer of the Northern Luzon Area PBRC to organized and recruit Bravo owners in the area to join the PBRC. Not necessarily that those Bravo owners be required to join the MCP forums and Yahoo! Groups.

From there, it’s swimming time. We made our way to the Arayat National Park where we can get swimming in several pools supplied by nature’s spring water from Mount Arayat. Sad for the group, Bradc73 had to leave early after he received a message from home requiring his presence at home because his child is sick. He said goodbye to rest of the group and left alone. But everyone had fun at the park. Alamus however had not brought along his swimming attire and just stayed by the cottage. Everybody made a deep into the cold water of the pool and a small natural waterfall after downing a bottle of beer. But I had two. The “ginataan” was at anyone’s taking and newly cooked banana-que offered by a local food vendor was not spared by the hungry Mike and Vin.

And no attractive lady could get passed from the vigilant eyes of Jian and Mike. Their stare could melt the ladies like butter. So as soon as they spotted a couple on their way to the other pool, our Romeos could not make their feet to stay put. Even Archer and Henry find a way to deep to the other pool, only to find themselves beside two “papampam” in swimsuit! Grrrr….At that moment, I felt sorry for Coolworld. He was at tight perimeter defense. And no Houdini can escape the ever vigilant eyes of his wife. He however managed to throw a few smiles.

By 3:30pm, we departed the resort and bound for home. But not after taking group pictures at the parking area. At the first intersection, we bid farewell to our hosts and thanked them for the warm welcome. They sure were very hospitable. That’s PBRC!

Our way back home was different. Some may have been tired by the day’s activities and traffic was a bit tight. I let Mike have the spearhead task. No problems along the way until we were at Bulacan where Jian barely escaped injuries and damages to his Bravo when a Pajero, coming from the right side of the road, suddenly turned to cross the hiway and blocking the path of Jian who was coming in fast. Full brakes by Jian couldn’t stop the motorcycle instantly and couldn’t prevent him to crash into the SUV. However, quick thinking and helpful braking of the Bravo did not cause full contact between the two vehicles nor damage Jian’s Bravo. The only contact made was when Jian used his elbow against the Pajero’s door to brace himself. This was evident by the dent on the door. Jian only felt a slight numb on his elbow. Driver of the Pajero was responsible enough to offer assistance if ever Jian sustain any unseen injury from the accident.

Aside from that, we made our way back to Monumento at around 6:30pm after buying “pasalubong” at the border of Meycauayan and Valenzuela. Jay separated from the rest of the group in Valenzuela. Coolworld and Jian went together towards Roxas Boulevard while Archer, Mikecute, Henry and me opted to drop by Shell Julia Vargas. There, wet met “CJ_Manalo” with his charming girlfriend and “Rom_Racing” who happens to be in the business of Riding Apparels. Rom offered us discount price of 2,500 pesos for a minimum group order of 10 pieces on the fully padded riding jacket in any design we want.

Soon after, we parted our ways.

Thank you guys for the exciting ride to Nueva Ecija. Thank you also to CrazyRazky and Alamus for the warm welcome. We certainly enjoyed our stayed in Nueva Ecija. And thank you to those who paid the registration fee and monthly dues for the month of November. Be ready for your pictures for your ID card.

Again thank you to all who participated and Mabuhay ang PBRC.

PBRC Honda Philippines Plant Visit Ride

First of all, I want to thank all those who have joined the PBRC ride yesterday to Honda Plant in Tanauan, Batangas. I'm very glad for those who have joined the ride for giving time. Thank you every one. RIDE SAFE everyday.

Now for some accounts on what happened yesterday.

My day yesterday started early by waking up as early as 5:30 am, even if our call time for those coming from Las Pinas and Muntinlupa is still 7:30am. I checked my Bravo for the last time in preparation for the ride. At 6am, my wife asked me if I can still accompany her to the market to buy some stocks for our sari-sari store, I agree immediately ( hehehehe, baka magbago ang isip at di ako pasamahin ). We returned by 6:45 am at home. Then...I returned to check my things again and at exactly 7am I leaved our house. The meeeting place for my group is at Alabang-Zapote flyover which is very near my house (it's just 5-10 minutes walk), so I went straight to a gasoline station and filled my tank then went around zapote to look for any store where I can load my cellphone, I almost consumed 15 minutes just looking for a store that is opened and have my cellphone loaded. I know that in a matter of minutes my cellphone will be flooded with texted messages coming from other members who will be joining the ride and as expected, after I loaded my cellphone, text messages comes in.

So...after answering some text I went straight to our waiting area (below the Alabang-Zapote flyover). I parked my Bravo where it can be easily seen by those members coming from Muntinlupa and at exactly 7:30am Jian, Ryan and Joel arrived in our meeting place. At that moment, I'm already texting Joyce who coordinates with me for those members coming from the North and I also text Major asking him how many are they in McDo, Kabihasnan.

By almost 8:30am, the merge party of North boys and South boys arrived in Alabang-Zapote flyover. After a short introduction of the members from Muntinlupa. We decided to start the ride to Batangas. At that moment, Sir Jules of Honda Philippines called me and asked how many riders are going to the plant, their plate number and if there are any back riders, we have 3 backriders (Jian backride, Nayf wife and the gf of Michael - whom I invited to join the ride but rides on a Wave 125), he also informed us that FPIP (First Philippine Industrial Plant) doesn't allow anybody wearing sandals to enter the compound; so we had a problem with our backrides since all of them are wearing sandals. Setting aside the problems of our backride we started with the ride and opted to stop in a gasoline shell along Aguinaldo Highway to have all riders fill up their tank so we won't be stop anymore going to Batangas (as what we thought).

The ride from Alabang-Zapote flyover to the gasoline station is smooth but with few traffic. After reaching Caltex, some riders have their Bravo filled up while other members went to the restroom. After a few minutes of rest we started the ride again. Traversing Aguinaldo highway, we passed Imus, Cavite with no problem but in between Imus and Dasmarinas, Cavite we encounter a minor problem; no problem with our Bravo but a traffic enforcer got irked when the group didn't stop when we were stop because of that the last 4 riders (Jian, Ryan, Michael and Me) were the one who was stop, Jian, was able to pass through, avoiding the elbow of the enforcer but Ryan was not lucky because he was hit by the elbow of the enforcer and was shaken by the blow. Fortunately, he didn't crashed and was able to gain control of his Bravo. We stop a few meters from the enforcer and confront him but he was angry that we didn't stop when he asked us to stop. That time, Major and the other riders came back to check on us after realizing that we were not on the convoy. We then told Major on what happened and he returned to the enforcer and confront him. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see the confrontation since I'm waiting for some of the members to go back. What I saw is that, the enforcer stop a pick up with red plate and inform him what happened. We, thought that it's already finished since Major led us again and continue our ride. After travelling for 15-30 minutes, we thought what happened was already finished but when we reached Salitrans, Dasmarinas, Cavite, the whole group where stop by a bunch of traffic enforcer, I thought that all motorcycle will be stopped but only our group was stopped. There, we found out that the traffice enforcer who we confronted radioed the traffice enforcers who blocked us. Major, was irked by the action and told the enforcers what happened. We were told to wait for their superior and the traffic enforcer. We waited for almost 10-15mins and when they arrived both Major and the traffic enforcer is in a not so good mood. Other traffic enforcer pacify the two but some PBRC members who was also irked by what happened started giving comments which just added flame.

Not satisfied with what's going on and knowing that we have already lost some precious minutes, I intervene and talked with the enforcer in a calm voice. After several minutes talking with him, telling him of the mistake of the group but also telling him of his mistake, he simply requested that he wanted to talk with Major so I talked with Major and asked him to have cool heads when they talked. At last, both parties end up by shaking the hands of each other. We left, Salitrans with no hard feeling and hopefully the traffic enforcer felt the same.

We continue our ride to Tanauan immediately, but it seems that we are travelling slow since our speed is only 60Kph, so I catch up with Major and informed him if we have the chance, we need to speed up our pace so we can reached FPIP on time, it's already 10:30am. After passing SM and Robinson Dasma, we speed up our pace and at this time we are now travelling 70-80Kph. In no time, we reached Tagaytay, Rotonda, we didn't stop anymore but proceed immediately to Talisay.

Reaching the rode to Talisay, almost all the members were amazed with the road (except I guess fo Major since I don't think it's his first time to pass that route). The road is a downhill twisties (sarap!!!!), even the view is amazing. For those other members who haven't gone through that rode, be sure that your break is in good condition. Steven, Nayf and Me was able to save some gasoline (hehehehe) because we turn of our engine and let the road drag us (kuripot ba? Hahahahaha). The downhill road can make your MC reached upto 80Kph but please, please, please be carefull, it's a twisty road and if your not careful you'll end up down. The road downhill almost consume more than 30 minutes I guess but you won't be frustrated cause you'll be amazed with the scenery.

Reaching the bottom of the road, we still travel an additional 1 hour to FPIP. We reached FPIP at around 12am. We immediately sign in to the guard and waited for Jun who comes from Calamba. After 5 minutes, he was able to join us. We are disappointed that we didn't met some of the members from Batangas and Laguna for some reason. I immediately texted Sir Jules and was informed that they are already waiting for us. We immediately saddle up and proceed to the plant. There, we already saw that Sir Jules and the Honda Phil. President/General Manager Mr. Izekoe is already waiting for us. We were asked to ride around while they took picture of us. We again asked to go around the second time and this time parked in front of their reception area where we got the chance to have our picture taken with their president.

After the picture taken, we were instructed to park our Bravo in the visitor parking area. There we proceed immediately to their reception area where we were met by Honda Philippines National Sales Manager, he gave us a brief view of the whole Honda Philippines plant which occupies 23 hectares (wow!!! ang laki). In the reception area we also saw the modified Honda Bravo in the "metal" (di in the flesh kasi puro bakal at plastic. hehehehe). Then we were instructed to proceed to their Welcome hall were snacks is prepared and there we were asked to introduced ourselves. We then proceed to the question and answer portion regarding Bravo, they asked us to eat the snacks while the forum is on going. I'm glad that members didn't shy away from asking question and we were satisfied with their answers. Honda Philippines president had to leave the group for another engagement in the afternoon so before he leaves we had another picture taking (dami naming picture....). The visit proceed with a film showing of Honda Philippines history and an info about engine oil (we'll discuss the engine oil in the forum or in Yahoo group).

Before the end of the visit, all members were given a Honda paper bag that contains a jacket, t-shirt, cap and a ballpen, we were all happy because the jacket cost already 650 and the t-shirt is 250, so we receive a 1000 worth of give away from honda. We then are invited to visit their shop and asked if we want to buy any other Honda apparel at discounted price. True enough, its discounted; Michael was able to buy a utility bag for only 310, knowing the SRP of the bag is 560.

At almost 3pm, we bid goodbye to Honda officials carrying with us a good and memorable experience in their plant.

To all Honda Philippines executives, thank you very much for a warm welcome and a nice experience that you have given to our group. We hope that yesterday is the start of a good relationship of our club and your company.

Honda Number 1!!!!!!

PBRC First Official Ride, July 15, 2007 (Part II)

Finally, the rest of the pack met us at Tagaytay Rotonda.

After asking what happened, they told us that they met Codeguru at Robinson Dasma and that's the reason why they were late.

Checking the members, we found out the Mindtwister was not with us anymore. Nobody seems to know where or how he left the pack, we even tried to call and text him but to no prevail.

PBRC First Official Ride, July 15, 2007

Here's now a brief report on what happened yesterday on our first official ride.

As previously posted , the PBRC first official ride pushed through yesterday. North and South members met at McDonald Kabihasnan in Paranaque. Official time of meeting is 7:30am, I was the first to arrive in the place since I still have to fetched my backride (Hehehehe, my "first" lady), after fetching my "first" lady we went straight to McDonald, to my surprise I'm the first one to arrive at the meeting place.

We had our breakfast first while waiting for the others. Next came, Sir Black, followed by Mindtwister, Black_013 and Sir Jet. While waiting, we have some picture taking courtesy of Sir Black.

At around 8:30, North members were able to meet with us. After several minutes of resting we started our ride, we took the Daang Hari route to Tagaytay. Since Sir Bungo wasn't able to come to our ride, it's Sir Jet who spearhead our group and of course, yours truly is the sweeper.

Half way in Daang Hari, half of the group can resist to have their Bravo tested, they shoot like bullets until we are left ( Joyce, Willy, Sir Black and Me ). We thought that they have left us, until we reached SM Molino where we regroup.

Again, Sir Jet, headed the group and we follow him. We were again broken when we reached Pala-pala. It's just me , Joyce and Willy. We continue riding until we met with Sir Black (sorry forgot the name of the road. :D ). Now...Sir Black, spearhead our group. Sir Black led us to Tagaytay, hoping that we met with the first group. But when we reached Tagaytay Rotonda we don't see any other Bravo except us.

So we waited there until Archer22 called my cellphone and asking us where we are. We just informed that we are waiting in Tagatay Rotonda. Their group, still met with sir Codeguru who will serve as our guide when we reached Tagaytay.
